    I just created a new Win 2012 R2 machine and tried running BatchPatch to speed up the update process. Almost instantly, I get:

    Windows Update Messages

    Error 1601: Failed to retrieve WMI info. Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)) – 10:09:33

    All Messages

    Tue-10:09:33> Windows Update: Error 1601: Failed to retrieve WMI info. Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

    Tue-10:09:33> Windows Update: Initializing…

    Tue-10:09:33> Windows Update: Queued… (Check for available updates)

    I even added myself to the local admin group and still have the same issue.
