First let me say how absolutely awesome BatchPatch is. It’s a joy to use such a powerful, but simple to use app. Now on to the question.

I have a vendor that supplies a list of approved KBs. There is hundreds. Not all apply to every server version. I want to compare this list to what the server needs to see what ones are missed.

In affect, a report that shows if the server needs KB400000, and KB400000 is on the approved list.

I know I can add the KBs to the “included or excluded when downloading/installing”, but I don’t want to download or install them yet. Just review the list.

I don’t see a simple way to go about doing this. I see ways to exclude updates, but not only show listed updates.

    Thanks for the help.

I’m glad you like the app! Thanks for sharing your feedback. 🙂

You can generate a report of available/applicable/needed updates with ‘Actions > Windows updates > Generate consolidated report of available updates’

Correct. But how can I limit that report to only show updates in a list I provide?

Like how the Update History Report Settings has a “Include only the updates with titles…”

I need the same thing on “Generate consolidated report of available updates.”

There is no such feature in BatchPatch. I would suggest you export the consolidated report to a delimited file, and then you can import that file into a spreadsheet where you can manipulate it as desired to get the information that you want. Or you could write a simple script to compare the output to your list.
