Synchronize Grid with directory – Append domain and Import description + more

Hi,

I observed an issue where if I would like to use FQDN name in my grid. I need to manage over 13 domains and adding FQDN help to known which machine is in which domain. Over 2000 servers.

First, I create a new grid where I add hosts from Directory and in this view I get all machines I want and I also check box “Import description field” and “Append DNS suffix to hosts”.

Then I have a great grid with almost information that I need to start properly !

But I would like to keep this grid updated sometimes, then I use “Synchronize Grid with Directory”… But I cannot because the “Append DNS” is not an available option and the sync considerate those machines are not the same and it try to remove all previously added.

I also observed that I don’t have possibility to get description from directory. If description change in Active Directory, it’s not updated in BatchPatch.

Finally,

If we could import / sync more fields, it could be very interesting to keep a fully powerful dashboard to manage our machines.

userAccountControl *** Set an option to don’t add in first load and remove on sync disabled computer account.
