Can i use batchpatch to stop an ongoing patching on a server that have been triggert from GPO and Wsus.

Our GPO is set to install pacthes and reboot

If a server with win2008/2012 have download or have a awaiting job to start the installation of patches, can i go in and stop or cancel this process?

I know BP have terminate and abort installation/process, but how can i get status in which phase server is in.

Have it begin to install the patches or are done and will reboot?

What im looking for is an realtime log there i can see the update/patching process and can stop it

BatchPatch cannot monitor an update process that was triggered by GPO. If you want to use BatchPatch to monitor the process then you should use BatchPatch to also trigger the process. We have recommendations for using BatchPatch with WSUS and Group Policy posted here: BatchPatch Integration with WSUS and Group Policy

Ok so there is no option for realtime monitoring, but can i use BP to go in and stop a GPO triggered patch window, meaning server have download the patches and waiting for time setting installation and reboot?

BatchPatch can control and monitor in real-time an update process that is triggered with BatchPatch. It cannot control and monitor an update process that is triggered by Group Policy. You can, however, have GPO download the updates but then have BP trigger the installation process. For that please refer back to the link in my previous posting.

If you have GPO setup to do the entire process but you want to prevent the installation after updates have already been downloaded then you would need to modify the GPO.
