We are looking at utilizing the scheduler feature in batchpatch to install some patches. One question I have, where we have batchpatch installed, does the application need to be open and running for the scheduled task to run or can it be closed without anyone logged into the system?
The application needs to be running in order for the scheduled tasks to be executed, so no it will not work if there are no users logged on. You can minimize the app to the system tray to get it out of the way by right clicking on the minimize button.
