How can a single user create deployments/copy commands/etc. and then share those w/other users? We are able to share .bps files, but when one of my admins logs in he cannot see/use any of the deployments or copy file functions that I saved while using the software.
If we are able to do this, it would be great.
We are logging into and using the software on a single server.
There is not currently a built-in way to share them. However, you can use ‘Tools > Export’ to export the user-defined items to a file. You can then use ‘Tools > Import’ to import them somewhere else. Also these items are stored in each user’s profile under C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Cocobolo_Software,_LLC\BatchPatch\user_defined\user_defined.xml
Thank you for your prompt reply. That is not good and unfortunately a knockout criterion for us.
Should there be an update in the near future, which is multi-user capable, please let me know, because we were actually very satisfied with Batchpatch.
Hi Doug,
We are also interested in this as a feature.
Our biggest problem at the moment is that we usually do our patching is shifts.
One admin user will start installation, and then another will take over a few hours later to confirm everything has installed successfully.
There does not appear to be any way for us to share the currently active grid.
Is it possible to share the BatchPatch service instance with admin accounts other than the one that installed it?
