    Dear Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with BatchPatch in a network where administrative shares (such as C$) are disabled. Even when I configured Admin$ as the Remote Working Directory, the agent gets copied but does not execute and is subsequently deleted.

I have not been able to find a workaround for this scenario where hidden shares are not available. Could you please advise on a potential solution or an alternative approach to ensure BatchPatch functions properly in this environment?

    Looking forward to your response.

This won’t work, unfortunately. We’ll consider providing a solution for this in a future version, but in the current version it would need to be an actual drive letter that’s shared with the $ notation. e.g. C: shared as \\targetComputer\C$ or D: shared as \\targetComputer\D$ etc. A different share, such as C:\SomeSharedFolder, shared as ‘\\targetComputer\SomeSharedFolder’ or ‘\\targetComputer\SomeSharedFolder$’ will not work.

    Dears,

I am also encountering the same issue with disabled administrative shares while using BatchPatch. Since you mentioned that a solution may be considered in a future version, I would like to ask if there is any timeline or estimated release date for this feature to be implemented.

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your response.

The current version released earlier this week now has functionality for this scenario under Tools > Settings > Remote execution > Use alternate share path. Make sure to read the ? help text next to the item to learn how to properly use the setting.
