I’m looking into some technical information on how does BatchPatch work. Now, looking at documentation I know it uses PsExec and requires .NET 4.0 on the host machine. It also uses: It may be necessary to open ports 135 and 445 on your target machines.
What I’m interested in is what is under the hood? How does it interact with the target machines? Does it use WinRM or WMI? – Thanks?
The BP host machine needs .NET 4.6, not 4.0. Where did you see 4.0? Let us know so that we can get that documentation updated.
Most interactions with target computers communicate through either PsExec or WMI.
