Hi, is there any way to hide items in the right click menu of batchpatch to make it a bit more compact and focused to the items I use regularly?

No. Are you running BP on a machine with a low resolution?

We realize the menus are not small. This is the tradeoff we made for us wanting items to be readily available without having to drill down multiple layers deep for commonly executed items.

We’ll consider this for a future build.

However, in the meantime you might consider customizing the toolstrip menu items. If you want you could put all of your commonly used items on the toolstrip, and then mostly avoid using the right-click menu altogether. See ‘Tools > Customize visible toolstrip buttons’

No, resolution isn’t a problem. Just was looking for a way to trim down the list to the functions I use regularly. Would be great to have that in a future build.

    Thanks

Can you tell me specifically which menus you’re talking about? When you right-click on a row, the first menu that appears is the Actions menu. Is that the one you’d want to compact? Or is it a submenu of the Actions menu that you’d want to compact, like maybe the ‘Actions > Windows Update’ menu?

    Thanks.

Primary ones I would like to remove are:
Execute Remote Process/Command> Option for 1-4 and just keep the Execute Saved ones on the list.
Shutdown > Don’t typically use this.
Wake On LAN > Hide the whole thing
    Windows updates > Several here

Now what would be nice is if you hide them an additional flyout menu for “Hidden Actions” in each menu would show up and you could still get to them but you could trim down the main list to the items most often used. Or maybe an “Add to Favorites option that shows only the favorites when your right-click with an option at the bottom that is all the available items. I think I like the Favorite Actions option better but that’s just me.

If I could throw out one more suggestion. It would be nice to be able to filter the grid view by being able to type a string to find in a column. For instance: in All Messages filter for “REBOOT_REQUIRED” or whatever string I need to filter on so that I can then select those items and execute a reboot. Can’t sort by the All Messages column because it has a date stamp at the beginning that gets in the way of the result I’m looking for so it’s a hold ctrl and click all the ones in the list. Going through several hundred machines gets tedious. 🙂

    Thanks. We’ll consider this.
