I wanted to know which of my servers have outdated version of some application. I ran get installed apps on all servers and the Get information output log got populated with the list of apps but going over the list cell by cell and doing middle click is long time.

so few feature requests based on that attempt:
    1. Add a keyboard shortcut for view cell content. Middle click is not comfortable for me
    2. Add some kind of filtering for the grid where I could specify to display all lines containing/not containing something (I could then filter out all servers with an updated version and be left with the servers who have the product and those who don’t). More complex servers could also be welcome so I could say “row contains AppName and row does not contain “AppName v20”

I then tried using the Get file version and pointing to one of the paths the app exe could be in. Some servers had the app in that path some don’t. The results went into the All messages column. Trying to sort based on the All messages column mixed the server list as the column cells actually contain more data than is visible and did not sort as expected

Based on that attempt please add an option for sorting based on visible content only

    1. You can also review the grid detail by selecting the desired rows, and then using ‘right-click > expand rows’ option. I think this would probably be better for what you are describing. We probably will not create a keyboard shortcut for viewing cell content because then you would have to tab through soooo many cells to get to the one that you want to view. ‘View cell content’ is really more geared to just be a mouse option, not a keyboard option. This is why for your needs you might find it best to use the ‘expand rows’ option instead.

    2. The ‘All Messages’ column sorting is already only based on the visible content. We’ll have a look to see what we can do to improve it.

    3. We will consider your other suggestions for a future build. Thank you for the feedback.
