Any Meshcentral users here? Meshcentral is an excellent opensouce RMM Platform. With Meshctrl (a command line component of Meshcentrl) actions can be scripted on any machine that is connected to Meshcentral. Actions such as file upload download and remote shell can all be done with Meshctrl. I think it would be great if Batchpatch could be used in conjunction with Meshcentral to keep remote machines patched.

It’s hard to know what you’re really looking to be able to do that you can’t already do. To be honest, it’s probably unlikely that we would do such an integration (none of us here are familiar with Meshcentral), but it’s not something we could even really seriously consider without more of an understanding from you about what you’re looking to do with such an integration. Thanks.

However because of the pandemic I have a bunch of laptops deployed that do not have connectivity back to our network. We use Mesh Central for management of these laptops. The users use Apache Guacamole to connect into their workstations which only requires a web browser. So the only way I can patch those laptops is by connecting in with mesh central and manually kicking off Windows update. My thought was if batchpatch supported mesh central with mesh ctrl I could patch all of those laptops the same way I patch all the workstations and servers that are on network. Check out Mesh central I think you would like it.

March 8, 2022 at 4:50 pm #13369klafleurParticipantI am seconding this. We have clients with over 500 computers that love MeshCentral; we love it. They also want the patch management with this. Please if we can somehow be guinea pigs. Thanks!
Similar to programs like Aterra; Comodo; ConnectWise Control. The ability to remotely manage software on the PC, patches etc. By installing an agent. The devs at Mesh are great, but I get it; if there is no reason or need to do this, then it makes no business sense. I do have a 500-user case right now. This would work perfect. There are no cool programs like batch patch and Mesh central in the enterprise world as much as there should be. I know it’s idealistic.
