This is very strange. I run from BatchPatch the wuauclt/exe /resetauthroization /detectnow

I get the result of Exit Code 0 success

But if I run it again I get Exit Code 5, Access is Denied

If I run it again some 3 or 4 minutes later, the code is 0

If I select another command such as wusuclt /reportnow I get the Code 5

If I change combination and to /reportnow and get a 0 then if I try another command I get a 5

This is only happening on one PC which has them same image as all my others PCs, same model, same configuration.

    Any ideas?

Hi Mike – This is a peculiar one. My best guess is that maybe you have a DNS issue? I wonder if what might be happening is you have multiple DNS servers in play, and one of them has stale information for that computer? And so maybe when you attempt to execute the process remotely, sometimes BatchPatch reaches out to the correct computer, but other times it gets sent to the wrong location. One way to test this would be to use the IP address in BP instead of the host name. And then of course you would want to take a look at your DNS servers.

Let me know how it goes.
