In Windows certain services are suppose to be set to Automatic, but at the same time will stop when idle, or not in use. Examples include “Remote Registry”, “Shell Hardware Detection” and “Software Protection”. So we don’t get false positives when checking servers for automatic services status can we somehow exclude these 3 services from the automatic checks?

The current build of BatchPatch doesn’t allow you to exclude any services from this check, but I will add it to the to-do list for a future build.

    Thanks,

    Doug

HI Doug when do you expect this feature will be add in the new release? When I check for stopped automatic services this services always shows up. Not always you can set them to manual.

jwiseguy – I understand why you desire an exclusion option, and we do plan to offer this in a future build. However, I’m not sure what the exact time-line is.

    Thanks,

    Doug

jwiseguy – In the meantime, you can use this technique to accomplish the same thing in BatchPatch:

Integrating an exclusion list for ‘Get Stopped Automatic Services’
