Having an issue where about 15 of my machines are throwing this error. I tried previous efforts such as get info and the only thing that works there is get computer model. When I try to check for updates or any other function I get error 1601. I have verified the batchpatch machine can see and talk to the server I happen to be working on. I have run PSEXEC remotely on the target computer and it runs but the batchpatchagent does not run on target computer.

Also when I run the get info computer model it does create the remote directory but it stays empty.

This indicates that WMI is broken on those computers. You probably need to repair WMI or repair the OS on those machines to fix it. Some help is provided here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/askperf/wmi-missing-or-failing-wmi-providers-or-invalid-wmi-class/375485

I’d suggest Google search for ‘repair WMI’ and ‘rebuild WMI’ for other options. Or do an OS repair/reinstall.
