Hi
Can you add some extra filters to the “Add hosts from Directory”?
We have servers in the “servers” OU´s and workstations in the “Workstations OU”, so it would be great if you can specify an OU to import objects from.
Maybe I want to import all machines that are in OU “servers” and “Physical” but not bother importing all virtual servers from the ComputersServersVirtual OU
We have approx 23 OU´s each with 8 sub-OU+s so filter would be awesome.
Thanks
Mats

Also, you the built-in filter enables you to easily select all machines in the ComputersServers OU without selecting any of the machines in ComputersServersVirtual. I’m not sure what more you are asking for. Am I misunderstanding your request? Or perhaps you can experiment more with the “Add hosts from directory” form and then let me know what you experience?
Thanks,
Doug

My goal is to select an OU, say EUROPE and be able to get all virtual servers from all over Europe, from approx 25 sub country OU´s. Below every country OU there are 5 OU´s containing machines – from laptops to physical servers. If I do a recursive search on “EUROPE” I get ALL machines = 1500, I only want to get the virtual servers from the OU´s called VIRTUAL without clicking on each and every country to get my list.
So If I can do a recursive search in EUROPE and get only items from OU=Servers AND OU=Virtual, that would give me 250 machines instead of 1500.
Hope this explains better!

Mats

In the meantime, probably the best way for you to get all the computers would be to put them into a single security group. Then in the BP ‘Add hosts from directory’ form you can simply highlight that single security group to display all of the desired computers.
