Hello,
I get this crash screen every time I exit out of BatchPatch. BP itself works fine…just when I am done and close BP using the X at top right, it does this.Any tips?
Thanks for your help!

What is the app version under ‘Help > About’ ?
Additionally you should see an event logged in the Windows application log (in the event viewer). Please paste the entire crash/problem/error event details for me to review.

I just noticed that when I just launched BP and looked at the version and X’ed out of it, BP did not crash. Then I launched it again, loaded a text file which has my servers in it, then X’ed out of BP, it crashed.
April 1, 2020 at 1:32 pm #12299dougModeratorUnclear what the cause is, but it’s pretty much gotta be something with your system/environment because we cannot reproduce it and have had zero reports from anyone else about it. My first suggestion is to update Windows. Looks like you’re still using build 1607, which for Windows 10 is very old. Second recommendation is to look at disabling any type of anti-virus or HIPS or other security software that is running on the computer. It could be the reason for the issue.
April 6, 2020 at 11:35 am #12301rajdudeParticipantThanks for looking. I can live with it.
For whatever it is worth, it happens only if I have a text file with a list of servers loaded in BP. If no text file, it does not crash at exit.
PS: That event log was from Windows Server 2016 Standard. Has all the patches/updates up until a week or two back. Maybe the code base is same as Win 10.
April 6, 2020 at 4:26 pm #12302dougModeratorThanks. Unfortunately we aren’t able to reproduce it even on the same OS that you are using (Win 2016 build 14393.3564).
April 28, 2020 at 4:08 pm #12318rajdudeParticipantUpdate: FWIW, I just upgraded to the new version of BP, that also crashes at exit when a text file is loaded.
April 28, 2020 at 4:20 pm #12319dougModeratorWould you be willing to email us a copy of the text file? I can’t imagine how this issue could manifest under any circumstances, but it would be interesting for us to test your exact text file just to rule out any problems with that particular file.
April 29, 2020 at 10:08 am #12320rajdudeParticipantyes I could send that text file to you
