I just updated to 2015.4.2.15.6. When I past from a spreadsheet to Add Hosts I am now getting spaces at the end of the host name. This is causing my host name to be invalid until I edit the hostname field and remove the extra spaces.

By the way I like the new line count field #.

I often get xml lists of systems to look over so this is something I do often.

I tested this with a spreadsheet that I copied from earlier today and used in BatchPatch prior to using the updated version.

When I pasted the data from xml to notepad I saw no extra spaces at the end of the hostname/s. Just one extra line at the end. We must be getting some excel formatting or something.

When I take the list from notepad and then past into add hosts everything works. I will use that as my workaround for now.

    Thanks,

    Jason

Jason – Yes, we are aware of this issue. The next release will allow copy/paste from Excel to work properly again without the extra notepad step.

    Thanks,

    Doug
