    Error 1601: Failed to retrieve WMI info. Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))


    This error indicates that you have a permissions issue. The BatchPatch computer is successfully connecting to the target computer, but the target computer is rejecting the request due to insufficient permissions. For WMI to work (and for BatchPatch to work, since BatchPatch relies on WMI for a lot of its operations), the account that is used to run BatchPatch (or the account that you specify in the ‘Alternate Credentials’ dialog for a given row/host in the BatchPatch grid) must be a member of the local administrators group on the target computer.
