    Hello,

I try to deploy a Software with batchpatch. The source is stored on a net share. The Client Computer has Access to this share. When I start the deployment, script tries to start the installer from the local drive, not from the share.deployment

    Deployment Setup:

    \servershareNwSapSetup.exe

    deployment Log:

    Mo-10:58:44> Deployment: Executing \Computer1 -h -w “C:Program FilesBatchPatchdeploymenttemp” cmd.exe /c “C:Program FilesBatchPatchdeploymenttempNwSapSetup.exe” /silent /product:”SAPWUS”

    Whats wrong?

    Kind regards

    Detlef

When I start psexec from commandline to destionation Computer and run the same commandline from the netshare, it works fine. So the problem only exists, when I deploy from Batchpatch.

The way that BatchPatch ‘deployment’ works is to first copy the setup file(s) to the target computer. Then BP executes the installer locally on the target computer. This is by design, so it’s expected behavior to see it execute from the local drive and not directly from the network share.
