Hi, each month I run a comparison of batchpatch inventory with vmware + AD inventory to make sure everything is patched correctly so I export all the different BP grid to different txt file to import in excel in which I have a macro to combine all of the host name of these different tab into a single sheet. The process works good but since I have a lot of different schedule for patching, having to use the mouse to choose file, export grid, export current grid host column to txt file for every grid feel really old school, if we could have keyboard shortcut either directly for that menu or even just some letter underscored to help choose the right menu item it would be appreciated. I currently can do ALT+F, E, but then after that the new menu that open all item start by “E” so I still have to scroll to choose current host to txt. so having a keyboard shortcut or underlined letter to jump to specific sub item in there would be helpful.

Hello. We will consider this for a future version.

In the meantime one other possible thing that you could do to reduce the manual effort is if you were to use File > Export all grids to single HTML file. This would put everything from all grids into a single file. You could then run a script on that single file to parse it for all of the host names.

One other thing that also might be useful to you is Grid > Synchronize, which can be used to synchronize a grid with an AD OU or Group, which might help in your effort to compare everything.

The notes above are just ideas. Maybe they can help or maybe they won’t work well for your situation, but I wanted to mention them just for you to be aware of in case you hadn’t considered them before.
