    Hello,

Hope anyone could help. I’m currently having issue on updating windows patch on a machine that is communicated thru NAT.

The NAT IP is reachable but whenever I run update, it fails stating RPC server unavailable.
I checked on the WMI and RPC and they are running. To isolate the issue, we turned off the OS firewall policy is set to any any.

Anyone here have experienced this issue.

In general, to penetrate a NAT you need a VPN or similar. In order to patch the target computer, the target computer needs to appear to the BatchPatch computer as if it’s on the same LAN. A VPN can accomplish this.

Are there other alternative for this?
