I’m loving the new branching functionality in the Job Queues. I have a queue that’s doing what I need. However, I thought I could pretty things up by using color to quickly indicate results. I guess that was tilt for my queue. There are enough steps to fill the window, and the OK button doesn’t show.

I don’t have the option of changing the display resolution, as I saw suggested in a similar post. It’s 1920×1080.

As far as I’m concerned, I would be happy if the steps weren’t listed here. I don’t look at them here. If I’m debugging, I use the Messages cell contents in the grid. I’m creating my deployments and queues to install a custom application and will be having my customer import the queue that I create into their own BatchPatch environment. I’m trying to make this pretty much point-and-click for them, and I’m already concerned that this window may be overwhelming.

I realize that I’m probably in the minority here as far as what gets displayed to the window, but I would like to see that there’s at least the ability to scroll and resize the window, so that I can get to that button. As it stands now, I just have to blindly hit the Enter key, and assume that it’s on the OK button.

    Thanks

This will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime you can avoid that issue by launching the queue differently. Go into the Job Queue window, select the desired queue, and then select ‘Execute now.’ The confirmation window that appears will not contain the entire queue contents, so it will fit on the screen without issues.

    Hi Doug,

I agree with the post above.

All the nitty gritty details don’t need to be shown each time you execute a queue.
I guess the best way to go would be to have a setting for this so that people can set this up as they see fit.

Thanks for taking our input into consideration.
