    Hi,
    I have two systems both on Windows server 2008 that fail with the above error message and the one below when checking for available updates.
    CLIENT_SUPPORT_ 11/06/2019 11:13:08

    -100: CoCreateInstance failed to return an IUpdateSession interface pointer
    CoCreateInstance failed to return an IUpdateCollection interface pointer. HRESULT: -2147221164

    Having done some searching on the batch patch forum I can say that I have tried several of the suggestions including;
    Watching the BatchPatch folder on the target system and can see the remote batch agent appear
    I can access the admin$ using the PsExec command
    I can get information such as OS and reboot stats
    I have used the check for updates on other systems and it works fine with the OS being windows server 2008

    Has anyone got any ideas as to what/where I might try to get this resolved.
    Cheers Malcolm

    Hi Doug
    Thanks for the update.
    Did what was suggested but got nowhere so ended up giving them access to the internet, brought them up to date and now the batchpatch is working is working fine.
    Thanks for your help
    Malcolm
